Why Sunrise & Sunset?
I’m all about sunrise and sunset. That’s when I shoot almost all of my sessions. The light at golden hour is soft, even, and so flattering (trust me, it’s worth it). There’s something special about that golden glow that makes everything feel calm and a little magical. Sunrise is my personal favourite so if you’re an early riser, I’ll happily meet you there. I know it’s not always the most convenient time for little ones, but for this one day, it’s worth it.
How do you accept payment?
To secure your date, a deposit is required via bank transfer. The remaining balance is due 48 hours before your session. Please note your booking isn’t locked in until the deposit has been paid.
What if the weather isn't great?
Bright sun isn’t the only way to get gorgeous photos. Unless it’s heavy wind or rain, we’ll embrace the day, and even overcast skies bring soft, flattering light that makes your images sing. I'll keep you in the loop the day before when we have an accurate forecast.
How do you photograph your sessions?
I love to chat, so I’ll always guide you if that’s what you prefer. I’ll fix your hair, whisper if anything needs adjusting, and give you the pep talk you didn’t know you needed. No awkward poses here. I’ll make sure you always know what to do next. The first few minutes might feel a little awkward, but by the end of the session you’ll be completely relaxed and genuinely having fun. I get really excited about this stuff, so I’ll share plenty of previews along the way too.
Where are you based and do you travel?
I’m based locally to Tea Tree Gully. That's where you'll find my Studio. I do travel all over Adelaide and South Australia for sessions though! It's one of my favourite parts of the job. Whether it’s your backyard, a local park, or somewhere special, I’ll come to you if you prefer.
Do you Photoshop your images?
I have one simple rule: I don’t remove permanent features. But if a pesky blemish pops up on the day or your little one sports a fresh graze, don’t stress. By the time you see your gallery, it’ll be a distant memory. I’ve got you!
Can I bring my pets?
Um OF COURSE! I love this. Just make sure they are on a leash if necessary and you may like to bring a friend to look after them so you can enjoy your session. If you can also have a squeaky toy or some treats on hand too then you're all set. I'll bring the cuddles. Sometimes I like to live on the edge and combine young children and furbabies all in the one shoot!
What's your availability like?
I work with just 12 families each month so I can give every session the time, care, and connection it deserves. Because of this, spots can fill quickly, so I always encourage booking in advance where possible. That said, I’ll always do my best to fit you in if you’re looking for something last minute - I never want anyone to miss the chance to have their story captured.
When will I have my gallery?
Your gallery is created slowly, with intention and care. My turnaround time is up to 8 weeks, though often sooner. This space allows me to edit in a way that feels calm and considered, not rushed or created in the in-between moments of busy days.
As a mother to three little ones, this rhythm matters deeply to me. It means when I sit down with your images, I can be fully present and give your story the attention it deserves. In a world that moves quickly, this is my way of choosing slow. Of choosing meaning over urgency, and heart over hurry.
HOW DOES THE PROCESS WORK?
1. Book in your date
Start by filling out the contact form so we can choose a date that works best for you. Choose from Sunrise, Sunset, Weeknight or Weekend dates. Newborn sessions are on Weekday mornings. Once we’ve chosen a date and time of day, a $100 deposit will secure your booking in my calendar.
2. Getting to know you
Its time to complete your Contract & Questionnaire. This small amount of admin is a big step toward a stress-free session. The questionnaire helps me get to know your family, your personalities, and what’s most important to you. Once that’s done, I’ll send through your prep guide full of tips & tricks to make sure you feel relaxed and ready to enjoy every moment in front of the camera.
3. The Shoot
The big day is here! Just relax and enjoy the experience. I’ll guide you with gentle prompts and tips to capture genuine laughter, love, and those little in-between moments.
Have fun, be yourselves, and leave the rest to me. By the end, you’ll have photos that feel completely, beautifully you.
4. Photos & Prints
Your digital gallery will be delivered within 6-8 weeks, ready for you to enjoy and share. If you’d like to plaster them all over your walls, print products can be easily ordered straight from your online gallery and delivered to your door, making it simple to bring your favourite moments into your home.
